Need NRVR members Saturday morning from 8-noon for set up and launching
demos
Need to know if anyone wants to represent NRVR at the Blacksburg Science
festival on 9/26.

Details:
NRVR is helping NRV area cub scout packs launch rockets at Kentland Farm
September 19 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.

We are expecting about 100 cub scouts and their scout leaders and parents
for this event. VT Alpha Pi Omega will be helping build the Estes Gnome
rockets the boys will fly. We need NRVR members to help with range set up
and control, pad management , RSO and LCO duties.

I would also like to invite local NRVR members who would like to
demonstrate some more advanced rocketry by flying rockets in the mid and
high power range. I want to launch at least 1 or 2 rockets every hour to
inspire the kids. I have several 29mm Cesaroni G moors and some E20-7
motors that you can use for the demo flights. I may try to launch a J or
small K at the end of the launch.

Please let me know if you can help and if you would like to do a demo
flight of a proven, reliable rocket.

On Saturday, September 26 Blacksburg is hosting the VA Science Festival.
Since many of our members are not going to be in town I either need to get
volunteers or to cancel our presence at the event. I am not going to twist
any one's arm to do this, but it would be a great opportunity to let
serious students and adults about our club. Carlos, Jimmy D, Bob and
Tweeks will not be available to help out.

If you are interested in helping man a table at the Blacksburg Science
festival on 9/26, please let me know ASAP.

Thanks

Bob
