Hey all..
This is Borris du Reau.. the main designer behind [ Bear Altimeters ]( http://rocket.payload.free.fr/ ).. the cool, open hardware/open source based family of altimeters several of us NRVR guys have been playing with on the side for several years now.
I'm one of his his small community of followers and he's just sent out a heads up to his community that he has a new set of altimeters he's started production on.

For the past 3 years I have been playing with different datalogger designs and a common Android software for them. I have also been trying different modules such as Bluetooth and 3DR telemetry modules. All the code for the firmware and the Android app is on my github. I have decided to release 2 different boards. One is based on the ATMega 328 and the other one is a shield for the STM32 based board.
Those boards are for people, who have programming knowledge in the Arduino environment they can be used with my code or your own.
Dataloggers are a lot more complex than the other altimeters and testing new code takes time.
The ATMega 328 has 3 pyro ouputs and a Bluetooth or telemetry port. It has on board memory to save the flights.
The STM32 has 4 pyro outputs and 2 Bluetooth or telemetry ports. It has on board memory to save the flights. The advantage of this board is that it runs a lot faster and has more programming memory.
Additionally I have created a board that can drive servos rather than fire pyro charges. The board can drive 4 servos and is intended for people who want to drop boosters or do water rockets.

All those boards can be configured using the BearConsole Android app. These boards will soon be available on order.
