Hey all..

Stuff coming up this week...

Thursday - Club Meeting in the CRC
First up.. Just a reminder.. we have a NRVR club meeting this Thursday at 6pm-8:30pm (just sent out the calendar invite). Club business from 6-6:30, then fun stuff for the rest of the time. If anyone wants to present on anything.. please book a 10, 20 or 30 min speaking slot here: [ https://tinyurl.com/nrvr-2019-03-21 ]( https://tinyurl.com/nrvr-2019-03-21 )

Student rocketry clubs welcome (and encouraged) too! But if you want floor time, please sight up for between 1-3 10min slots w/the link above. :)

As always.. more info + map, directions, etc are always on on calendar (months ahead of time) here:
[ http://nrvr.org/calendar/ ]( http://nrvr.org/calendar/ )

Saturday - Commercial Launch
Second.. As you know.. this Saturday.. it's looking like we're going to have a really beautiful Commercial Launch (hope the weather holds!).. However, we will need a full compliment of RSO/LCO (for both HP and LP (kids)) as well as setup/breakdown helpers.

We're probably going to set up for separate HP and LP RSO (and LCO) since I have my boys club from my Church coming out at noon.. so I'll me mainly helping them with their rockets during that time slot. Please reply if you can help, and with what or if anyone else knows of any kids groups coming. :)

Save or Pay Nothing on the HP Launch Fee!
Remember.. we have a $10 HP (non-student) launch fee now.. but members get $5 off... and an additional $5 off if you help RSO (req's levlel-2 cert or higher) or LCO (req's level-1).. If you can't help with either of those.. we also need help w/setup (9am) and breakdown (~6ish). Esp w/breakdown since Bob's heading out early and we're on our own. (I'm hauling the trailer out)

Give Us A Heads Up If...
As always.. if anyone plans on any of the following below, [ we need to know before the launch ]( http://mailto:officers@nrvr.org ) so that we can accommodate your needs:
needing a cert flight (or test)
planning to fly anything over 6,000ft
planning any L or M flights
*NEW: any first time or non-member guest or student flights using medium to HP (F or larger) motors
*On this last point, it is a new NRVR requirement for any guests or students who have not cert'ed and/or flown with us before and who want to fly a F or higher motor, please show us that you have prepared to conduct a safe flight by simulating your flight and [ sending us (or bringing) a completed TRA pre-flight data capture form from here ]( http://server2.nrvr.org/files/TRA_Pre-Flight_Data_Capture_Form.pdf ) (no TAP info needed).
NOTE: This came out of some failed/dangerous flights and resulting club safety discussions we had in 2018. Let us know if you have any related questions.

That's about it folks! We hope to see you all at the meeting.. or at least at the launch!

Take care, and keep your fingers crossed for beautiful weather!

Tweeks
NRVR President
