Bill:
Be sure to email Bob about your certification. He's our Prefect and the one who can discuss specifics. If you have a mentor helping you with your build, be sure to CC them too.
EVERYONE - MOTOR ORDERS:
Our new member Bill Noble here said that he started another motor order from Chris' Rocket Supplies. If anyone wants to piggy back any motor orders to save on Hazmat/shipping fees.. you need to place your order BEFORE this Friday: [ https://csrocketry.com/rocket-motors.html ]( https://csrocketry.com/rocket-motors.html )
(CCing a couple new/joining members too)
and I guess Bill will get them to you at the April 27th launch.
Saturday the 27th is the launch. Details here:

Members Meeting:
Also.. Don't forget our members meeting next Thur. It sounds like it will be at the CRC Space Building (1901 Innovation Dr). I'll send out more details/map, agenda, etc soon. If anyone has anything they want to present at the Members Meeting, we're solidifying our agenda now. Just send me the subject of your talk/demo/show-n-tell (try to keep it under 30 minutes) and I'll add it to our line up.
Cheers,
Tweeks

TWeeks,
The NRCC rocket club will have a Super DX3 for the Apr 29th launch. Ordered two motors: a Cesaroni I175 and a Cesaroni I255. Will be running a rocket simulation soon. Anything else you need to know or I need to arrange?
I hope to have a Level one certification launch for myself for Apr 29th. This is a different rocket then the Super DX3.
I missed the NRVR shipment so I am getting a separate shipment. Chris says there is room in the box for more so if anyone needs something else from Chris' Rocket Supplies then that could be arranged, I think. That shipment will be submitted on Friday, 4/19.

That's ok Pat. We don't require anything special for low power first time flyers. Thanks for the heads up though. Do you have an approximate head count? Are you going to be their main RSO/Rocket Doctor or will we need club helpers?

Thomas:
I will have 3 glider teams and 4 BT-50 rocket designs where they have to fly on A, B, and C. They have all submitted design reports and open rocket files.

Hey all..
Regarding some new safety policies we have here at NRV Rocketry...
New Guest/Student Flyer Requirements:
As a part of our new launch safety policies for non-club guest flyers as well as uncertified student flyers, we need these flyers to fill out and submit a [ Pre-Flight Data Capture Form here ]( http://server2.nrvr.org/files/TRA_Pre-Flight_Data_Capture_Form.pdf ) and submit this to [ officers(at)nrvr.org ]( http://mailto:officers@nrvr.org ) before bringing a new rocket configuration with our club. In short, this new requirement asks you to:
sim your rocket (in [ openRocket ]( http://openrocket.info/ ) or [ RockSim ]( https://www.apogeerockets.com/Rocket_Software/RockSim ))
fill out all the requested fields in the [ PFDC form ]( http://server2.nrvr.org/files/TRA_Pre-Flight_Data_Capture_Form.pdf ), EXCEPT the TAP sections
(which is only required for L3 cert attempts))
submit to [ officers(at)nrvr.org before ]( http://mailto:officers@nrvr.org ) the day of the launch
(with time for us to review/approve)
Any questions?
VT / NRCC Professors:
Can you all help us get the word on this policy out to all the various student groups? You can link to this email via our mail list archives here:

Thanks!
Hope to see you at the meeting (on the 25th) and the launch (27th).. Details always on our calendar here: [ http://nrvr.org/calendar/ ]( http://nrvr.org/calendar/ )
